Horizon Sports Management

As my management company, Horizon Sports Management are the 'team behind the team'.  They pull all aspects of my professional life together: from Schedule Planning and Management, to negotiating and managing sponsorship/endorsement contracts; and from Public Relations and Media Management to organising my finances, accounts and investments.  Horizon Sports Management look after it all.

Horizon Sports is a full-service management company with a growing reputation in World golf.  Since I joined in 2009, the company has done a great job of restructuring the way I manage myself both on and off the course.  They have contributed significantly to the successes I have enjoyed so far this year, and I look forward to working with Horizon and watching the company grow in the years to come.

Phil ‘Wobbly’ Morbey – caddy

Phil joined up with Ross in July 2010 at the Irish Open.  Their partnership could not have got off to a better start – they won the tournament after a superb weeks work at Killarney.

‘Wobbly’ as he is known on the Tour, is one of the most experienced caddies around.  Born in Selby, Yorkshire in England, Phil has been caddying since 1981.  He caddied for Ian Woosnam for no fewer than 14 years, and also caddied for Jose Maria Olazabal for 6 years.

Phil has carried the bag for a host of other world class players, and now hopes to bring Fishers game to the next level.  Wobs found immediate success with Ross at the Irish Open, but success is not new to the Yorkshire man.  Phil has enjoyed 41 Worldwide wins, 27 of those with Woosnam.  The highlight of Wobbly’s career to date was winning the 1991 US Masters with Ian.  He has also worked at 7 Ryder Cups and hopes to be a part of many more.

Mark Roe - short game

Mark Roe turned professional in 1981 and became a member of the European Tour in 1985. Twenty-five enjoyable years and three European Tour victories later, Mark retired from tournament golf in 2006.

Mark then became a regular TV analyst, and more recently has been establishing himself as one of the game's leading short-game coaches.

In his first year as a coach (2007) Mark worked with four European Tour Pros. By the end of the year, all four were winners. Mark also works with Lee Westwood, Nick Dougherty, Ollie Fisher, Thomas Bjorn, Paul McGinley and Lloyd Saltman.

Ross noticed that Mark was working well with these fellow professionals, in particular Lee Westwood who returned to his world-class form under the watchful eye of Roe.

Mark began working with Ross in March 2008. Roe noticed that "while Ross is a world-class talent, his short game doesn’t match the rest", and began they began fine-tuning that area together.

Ross was 90th in the World Golf Rankings when he began working with Mark. Now a regular in the top-50, Ross acknowledges the contribution “Roey" has made:

"Its all about the short game, and thanks to Roey I am now in the top forty in the world. Couldn't have done it without him."

Dale Richardson - sports therapist & chiropractor

Dr Dale Richardson graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from RMIT University, Melbourne Australia in 1980 and his initiation into working with professional golfers came at the 1989 Australian Open. Realizing that the PGA Tour Australasia did not have any sports medicine coverage at the time, Dale established a multidisciplinary team of practitoners including Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Masseurs, Podiatrists, Fitness consultants, Psychologists and Sports Medicine doctors.

Dale managed this service for 10 years, as it gained the reputation as one of the leading Tour player services in the world.

In 1997, Nick Faldo ask Dale to travel with him full time on Tour, and this launched Dale's personalised player consultancy service "ProGolf Health" providing coverage at worldwide tournaments.

Dale has an impressive array of professional golfers currently under his care, including Graeme McDowell, Padraig Harrington, David Howell, and Henrik Stenson. Dale implements a holistic approach in developing his "player performance package" with them.

Ross began working with Dale in January 2009.
